City Auditor

The City Auditor also serves as the licensing officer.   

The City of Wahpeton requires licenses for the following activities:

1. Games of Chance, raffles, bingo, pull tabs, 21 or any variation thereof

2. Liquor Licenses (all classes)

3. Cabaret Licenses (live entertainment located or contracted by a liquor license holder)

4. Coin-operated Amusement Devices

5. Tobacco Sales

6. House Moving

7. Pawn Broker

8. Solid Waste Collection/Disposal

9. Taxicab (ALSO NEEDS TO COMPLETE A FORM WE SUPPLY REGARDING EACH VEHICLE)

10. Itinerant/Transient Merchant (Need State of ND permit)

11. Contractor's License (Need State of ND license)

12. Fireworks (retail sales and display)

There are also licenses for fireworks sales, games of chance, contractors, and off-premise liquor.

Renewal notices are mailed to existing license holders in early November with instructions to return the applications by (a designated date) the week preceding the first city council meeting in December.
